There are mainly three different types of Glutathione (e.g. L-Glutathione or Reduced Glutathione, Liposomal Glutathione and acetyl-glutathione). Derma Blanc uses S-Acetyl Glutathione (S-A-GSH) which has an acetyl group (COCH3) attached to the sulfur atom of cysteine in the glutathione molecule leading it as the most stable form of glutathione for oral ingestion. This acetyl group protects glutathione from breaking down in the gastrointestinal tract enabling to deliver through the blood stream for skin whitening and anti-aging. Most other brand products use either Reduced Glutathione or Liposomal Glutathione because of the cost of making S-Acetyl Glutathione (S-A-GSH) is complicated and its high cost.
